Terms of use
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms describe the current KebabSafe service for business users. Read them together with the Privacy policy. For billing, cancellation or service questions, use the Contact page.
1. What KebabSafe does
KebabSafe is a record-keeping app for UK food businesses. It stores hygiene and health and safety records such as temperature checks, cleaning, deliveries, allergens, equipment checks, incidents and staff training, and it can turn them into reports you can show an inspector.
It is a record-keeping tool only. It is not legal advice, not a food safety certificate, and it does not guarantee the result of an inspection. You stay responsible for safe working practices, for checking that your records are accurate and complete, and for meeting the law and your local council’s requirements.
Automatic flags, for example a temperature shown as outside the safe range, and the wording in generated reports can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them.
2. Your account and business details
Give accurate account and business details, keep your password private, and only enter information you are entitled to use. Do not use the service unlawfully, upload harmful material, or attempt to reach another business’s information.
One membership covers one shop or location and up to four user accounts. Records are tied to the account that created them, and only that account or an app administrator can read, edit or delete them. Sharing records between staff accounts is not available yet, so inviting someone does not give them access to your records.
3. Your free trial
New account holders get seven days of free access from the first time they open the member area. No card details are needed, and the trial does not turn into a paid membership on its own. If you want to carry on, you choose a paid plan separately.
If you pay while your trial is still running, any unused trial days, up to seven, are added once as bonus access. This does not delay the charge or move the monthly billing date. Your account shows the access end date.
4. Prices and billing
Monthly membership costs £9.99 in GBP. Billing starts as soon as you buy it, and Stripe charges it every month until the subscription is cancelled. The checkout does not include a separate Stripe trial.
The 12-month membership costs £49.99 in GBP, paid once for 12 months of access plus any bonus trial days. It does not renew automatically, so a further 12 months needs a new purchase.
Payment is taken on Stripe’s checkout. Use the same email address as your KebabSafe account so your payment can be matched to you. Access is switched on only after the payment is verified on our server, which happens automatically every five minutes. If access has not appeared about ten minutes after you pay, contact KebabSafe instead of paying again.
5. Cancelling a monthly membership
There is no cancellation button inside the app and no Stripe billing portal yet. To cancel a monthly membership, use the Contact page and include your shop name and account email. Cancellation has to be carried out in Stripe by the operator, so allow time for it and ask for written confirmation.
Signing out, not using the app, or asking for your account to be deleted does not stop monthly billing. Do not assume future charges have stopped until you have confirmation that the Stripe subscription has been cancelled.
The 12-month membership has no automatic renewal to cancel. If you want to stop using it before it ends, contact KebabSafe.
6. Refunds
If you think you have been charged twice, charged in error, or charged after cancelling, contact KebabSafe with your account email and the payment reference and it will be looked into. Refunds are considered case by case, and nothing in these terms takes away any refund or cancellation right you have under the law.
7. Your records and reports
Check that each entry has saved, and review it again after you edit it. Keep your own copies of important records and of any report you export. Export what you need while your membership gives you access, because continued access or long-term storage after it ends is not guaranteed.
Account deletion and data requests are handled manually, so a completion date cannot be promised. The Privacy policy explains what is processed and which parts of that process are still being finalised.
8. Photos and attachments
Photo and certificate attachments are temporarily unavailable: new uploads and attachment downloads are switched off. Files and references already stored have not been deleted.
Older files that were uploaded with public links may still open outside the app, because switching attachments off does not revoke a link that has already been shared.
9. Availability and limitations
You need an internet connection and a supported device or browser to save and read records. Availability depends on our hosting, payment and email providers. Offline saving, uninterrupted availability and a specific support response time cannot be promised.
Email from KebabSafe can be delayed, filtered or sent to spam, so do not treat an email as the only proof of your membership. Use the membership status shown in your account. Some features, including payment and exports, may behave differently in native app builds.
10. Changes to these terms
Any change to these terms will be dated on this page. Continuing to use KebabSafe after a change means you accept the updated terms. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for your legal rights, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Who we are, and the details still being confirmed
KebabSafe is published by Lincoln Tradeworx Ltd, company number 16957370, registered office 81 Boultham Park Road, Lincoln, LN6 7SE, United Kingdom. You can reach us at info@kebabsafe.uk or through the Contact page.
These supplier details are still being confirmed by the owner and will be added here once settled: the exact trading name that supplies the service and whether that company is the supplier and data controller, VAT registration and treatment, how long a cancellation takes to process, the discretionary refund policy, and the governing law and jurisdiction.
